The Ideal Man, Avatar of Vishnu
Ram is the seventh avatar of Vishnu and the hero of the Ramayana. He is the embodiment of dharma, righteousness, and ideal conduct. Worshipped on Sundays and especially on Ram Navami, he represents the perfect son, husband, king, and devotee.

Simple Home Puja Guide
Bathe and wear green or yellow clothes on Sundays.
Set up a picture or murti of Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman together.
Light a ghee diya.
Offer tulsi leaves, yellow flowers, and fruits.
Offer prasad — panchamrit, fruits, or kheer.
Recite the Ramayana — the Sundar Kand is especially auspicious.
Chant 'Om Ram Ramaya Namah' or 'Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram' 108 times.
Read or listen to Ram Raksha Stotra for protection.
Perform aarti with Shri Ram Chandra Kripalu Bhajman.
Observe Ram Navami fast annually and Sunday fast optionally.
